Birth Doula Support

The process of pregnancy and birth can be life-changing and overwhelming to various extents and depending on what happens in your life and health as you navigate through this journey. As your doula, I provide you with the support you need, being a grounding presence, a soundboard, an advocate and ensuring you emotional support and comfort, where needed and possible.

My most important role is to contribute to you having a calm and as positive experience as possible, whilst in labour. As such, it is important that we can work well together and build a link of comfort and trust. Before booking me as your doula, I always offer a free first call, for us to get to know each other and get a feel of whether I am the right doula for you.

The Birth Doula Package includes the following:

  • Two antenatal visits

  • On call availability day and night from ten days prior to your expected due date until the baby is born

  • A 2-3 hour postpartum visit within the first weeks of you giving birth

  • Check-in contact in between to follow up on your progress and wellbeing

The antenatal visits will include me visiting you in your home and us discussing your pregnancy, birth plan, previous experiences and any worries or trauma that you wish to discuss.

I will inform you of my role and go through some of the methods I may use in labour to provide you comfort. If possible, this is a time I may also meet your partner, if relevant. As a doula, my services extend to providing support to your partner as well in the labour process, and assisting you both as a team.

After giving birth, we will agree on what is a suitable date for a postpartum visit, The visit will include providing you with the space to reflect on the birth experience and the postpartum period so far, whilst also providing you with the support needed 

The doula package costs £2150. Some adjustments may be made depending on your requirements. Payment plans and alternatives may be discussed.
